Weekly Workouts Roundup: Starting the SBBC in March!

Along with the usual roundup of workouts from this week, I'll also be beginning a SPRING BOOTY BUSTER CHALLENGE with my friend Amanda from Run to the Finish next month!Feel free to grab a button and linkup with Meghan, Genna, and I each week - doesn't have to be Sunday!

 

 

Spring Challenge

 

Here's some details in case you want to join in Amanda's challenge (FULL details here)!

 

Who: Everyone who wants some added motivation for a Spring Shape Up!

When: CHALLENGE STARTS ON Mar 4 - Apr 21

How: Register by clicking the button above

Cost: $10 - $45 depending on options selected- $10: Group support, weekly emails, expert Q&A, receive basic training plan - no prizes (except Lock Laces)- $22: Group support, weekly emails, expert Q&A, receive basic training plan - eligible for prizes- $47: All of the above, plus additional support to reach goals faster (more details here)

Why: Group support and rewards for sticking to healthy habits…plus rocking that swimsuit this summer.

CHALLENGE BASICS

  • Earn 1 point per 10 minutes of activity
  • Earn points for eating 7-9 servings of fruits and veggies
  • Free group forum
  • Meet other like minded folks to help you stay on track.
  • Receive a half marathon training plan
  • Receive a basic strength training plan
  • Win prizes!!
  • Get answers from experts in nutrition, running, cross fit, yoga and more.

TRACKING

Both an excel worksheet and word doc will be provided for personal tracking of points throughout the week.Final weekly tally will be entered on the group spreadsheet.Weekly email reminders are sent about prizes, experts, Tweet Chats and tracking.

 

PLUS PACKAGE

  • Weekly goal exercises designed to help guide you through achieving your specific goals.
  • Bi-weekly group call to create accountability, brainstorming and a place to celebrate achievements keeping you moving forward - coaching without the high fees of doing it solo!

PRIZES

All prizes are awarded randomly (around 50 total prizes).To be eligible you must participate (fill out Google Doc).High point earners will automatically be entered in final prize selection. Points do not mean bigger or better prizes, just entry for a prize. Referral prizes are also available - you could earn back your entry fee immediately by referring 3 friends.

Points daily:

 

Mon - 4 running points, fruits/veggies servings 1

Tues - 3 crossfit points, fruits/veggies servings 1

Weds - 3 crossfit points, fruits/veggies servings 1

Thurs - 5 running points, fruits/veggies servings 1

Fri - rest day no workout, fruits/veggies servings 1

Sat - 12 running points, fruits/veggies servings 1

Sun - 4 running points, fruits/veggies servings 1

    I might look into Amanda's spring challenge. I just feel that I always get so busy and then fall off the bandwagon. I am never that good at challenges. :/

  7. Wow. Great workouts. How do you balance your crossfit and running. I am starting to work in weight training and am having problems because if I really push it on lifting days I am so sore it hurts to run. hmmm......

    1. I do easy runs on Mondays with crossfit. Wednesday is my crosstraining only day. Most of my weeks line up with a long run Saturday, recovery Sunday, Monday easy run with crosstraining, Tuesday tempo, Wednesday crosstraining only, Thursday speedwork, Friday rest
