Last weekend was chock full of SCHTUFF! So much so that I didn't review the week in workouts and this post is s 2 week make-up! What, What?!
Not only did I race my 3rd Half Marathon & became a Half Fanatic, but I also got to experience my first opportunity to meet tons of other out-of-state bloggers IRL AND do my first Brooks ID task AND cheer on pals as a spectator for the Disney Marathon! It was a great week, and I felt great in it. I had my mental struggles in the race, of course, but think I've learned even more lessons to bring me to the next one!
Post Race Week
I had a great shakeout after the race and then was so excited from the whole weekend that I took a rest day Monday. I was back at it Tuesday with an awesome Tempo run before trying crossfit Wednesday! (post on that soon) I will begin 800s in my speed work this week but decided to take it easy with a few 400s post race. The long run yesterday was steady and chilly compared especially to last weekend! I was able to try out the Seamless Power Running Jacket that Zensah sent me to try out. It worked great and was very comfy! The seamless material did an awesome job wicking away sweat and I never felt too hot or insulated like I have in other jackets as the temperature increases.
Today I'll run recovery with Kris later! We decided to sleep in...10am whoa...since we enjoyed ourselves out in Sarasota with the Yelp crew!
