We just got back from our NYC trip and it was FABULOUS! I'll post vaca recaps throughout the next couple of days including pics, but I wanted to recap a few things & a few of the ones I took with you since it's been a whole, what, 5 days?! I'll start out with my workout recap, then August goals recap, and then a SUPER DUPER piece of news I received yesterday! Ok, ready?
For those of you that follow me on Twitter and/or Instagram, any of my pics can show I've been running...eating...and walking... a LOT! I even kept up with a [tweaked] workout schedule! (holy canollis! - no I didn't eat them but I saw them in Little Italy and virtually ate some)
Arrival day - Thursday's workout: 4 mi run along the Hudson River while Gar run/walked
Friday's workout: am 4 mi run w/my cousin along the river before about 6+ miles of walking (Financial Dist + Brooklyn Bridge + Chinatown)
Saturday's workout: 6.5 mi run w/my cousin + weights before 4+ miles of walking (5th Avenue - hello Reebok Crossfit! etc)
Sunday's workout: 2 mi treadmill run + 4+ miles of walking (Chinatown + + Little Italy + Essex/East side)
Monday's workout: 10 rounds of 200-400m run + squats/pushups/situps + MORE walking
Today: Traveling this morning and plan to run 5+ miles later
September officially starts Half Marathon training, so I'll be sure to stick to zee plan starting this week! (SO much food to work off ;)
Photo Montage time!
We saw Al Roker on a lift

August Goals RECAP!
1) Don't get lazy with cable: DONE
2) Work on at least 2 paintings for the fall: NOT DONE (I need to budget more time; the [unplanned] move set me back a bit, whoops)
3) Kick 1/2 Mary training into gear: Kind of DONE - Speed work starts this week! I've been doing treadmill drills here and there, so I guess that counts too
4) Continue the fruits and add in more veggies! DONE! We've been SO very good adding in more veggies, even when we eat out! (when this girl doesn't want to cook, which has been a lot lately due to all the craziness. Now that we're settled into the new house, I am a content wifey :)
5) Got our NYC flights and saved money in July for spending, but let's shoot for $300 more saved! DONE! We didn't use $ for souvenirs etc but enjoyed the city and saw a LOT on a dime!
6) Try to move to another townhouse: DONE!
6) Try to move to another townhouse: DONE!
7) Get up to 250+ followers on Twitter and add some here on the blog - DONE! I am up to about 380 Twitter followers and jumped up a bit more followers on Blogger! THANK YOU to all of you who've helped me grow my blog audience!
Which leads me to my SUPER DUPER piece of news!
I just found out I've been accepted AS A FITFLUENTIAL AMBASSADOR!
(pause for reaction)
I'm SO very excited to start this part of my fitness/blogger journey and look forward to all of the opportunities that FitFluential will allow me! I've been a big FitFluential follower ever since I started sharing my story so I was pretty surprised to get the news via email yesterday as we were walking through Greenwich Village. Hubs knew I was anxiously awaiting word on whether I'd been accepted or not so when we took a sit break for me to tweet and check emails he totally understood ;)
I should finish some laundry and have lunch, but hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Chao!
Any 5-days-worth-of-news to share?
** Update: Then TODAY I found out
